Town Hall Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the community is invited to a Town Hall Meeting hosted by the City Manager Rolando Vela. The event will be held on Thursday, March 1 at 5:30pm at the Town Hall, located at 122 Fernandez Street.

The purpose of this event is to seek input from the public on the conditions of the streets. The Town of Laguna Vista is currently preparing to present a proposal to the Town Council at the March 27 meeting on resealing streets throughout the community.

The public is invited to attend.

CDC Board Meeting Scheduled

The Community Development Corporation (CDC) Board will be meeting on Thursday, February 23 at 4pm to discuss the following:

a. update on the Economic Development Strategic Plan
b. update on the Comprehensive Plan
c. Discussion of a store front program.

The public is invited.

Valley Metro link added

We've added a link to Valley Metro. It's on the bottom right corner on the welcome page. It provides information on the routes that Valley Metro offers as well as the fares. The route from Laguna Vista to Port Isabel is Route 50.

Amnesty Round Up Scheduled - Feb 1 to Feb 24

The Laguna Vista Municipal Court has declared a grace period from February 1 to February 24. Those with outstanding traffic warrants may appear, without fear of being arrested, to make arrangements to pay off outstanding fines.

Starting on February 25, the Police Dept will be conducting a warrant round up.

Municipal Court currently has 3000 outstanding warrants totaling almost $1 million.
